Stayed at home on the computer all day. Wait, lmao I still do that. Mine lasted on and off for years. Still am sometimes but I try to get out and do things I enjoy and keep good company with family and friends. Isolation makes it worse. Too much time to sit around feeling sorry for yourself.....Read or listened to the news, made me feel guilty for being depressed and started looking at the positive. Things could be allot worse.....

When I went through my divorce, I was terribly depressed for a year. If it wasn't for my youngest son, I wouldn't be here. I went to a counselor and got on anti-depressants. One day, I woke up to the fact that I had to go on living because if I died that would mean my ex-husband won. I wanted to show him that I'm strong and not weak. I also wrote poetry and that helped a lot. got my anger out to where I could deal with it. I wrote a poem and gave it to my friends who helped me through my rough times--A Seed of Life

Things I did as a result of the depression included over-sleeping, eating nothing except chocolate, playing video games by myself, missing college, crying, self-harming, thinking about myself and what the point of being alive was.
Things I did to make myself feel better were sleeping, eating chocolate, playing video games by myself and self-harming.
Nothing made me truly feel better though, except Prozac.
I had depression for about 3 - 4 months before I received medication.

I usually cry. it isn't the best method but it does help a little. Depends on what it is. Usually just a day or two. When I got my heartbroken 7 months ago I'm still recovering and slightly depressed...Heart break REALLY hurts!

I got on Lexapro, and I'm still on it. It helped a lot!
I thought I could beat the depression on my own, but it proved to be too hard for me. This medicine has really helped.

Think happy thoughts like peter pan says. Depends on how serious the problem that made me depressed was.

I cry. haha, nah, actually that's my problem, is i keep all of my emotions bundled up,and it stresses me out quite alot...i listen to music, it seems to be a way to "vent", since i don't like to talk to people about my probelms ,hearing other poeple problems in the lyrics helps? If that doesn't sound too stupid. Hope this helps, and i'm always here if you need to talk okay sweetheart? Get better soon, and know that your not in this alone! :)
