I spent two weeks in the hospital in Lubbock, TX (not where I am from) with a skin and muscle infection in my right leg. It was so bad that I had to walk with a cane for the next eight months. The first day in the hospital they were talking about amputating the leg from the knee down. I remember none of this, as I had a fever of 105 and was delirious. But apparently I sat up in bed and told the doc that if he came anywhere near me with a scalpel, that I would take it away from him and shove up his #. Only I didn't say it that nicely. My wife told me that I said this, and it sure does sound like something I would say.
One humerous part of the story, I am bedridden (nearly crippled) when I am woken up at 2 AM by an elderly man, suffering from demensia. He woke me up by crawling into my bed. Nobody could seem to understand why I was freaked out. Apparently he was well known for bed hopping.
I am fully recovered, although when I over-exhert myself, the scaring on my leg gets kind of red and angry looking. By the way did I mention that the scar is shaped like the Pope's funny hat?

Jan 21st, 1997 I was in a car accident and tore every muscle but 3 in my back, one side of my neck and shoulder. I have recovered 76% and will not get any better. When I was pregnant with my son I kept passing out because the bigger my uterus got the more pressure it put upon a scar in a muscle in my back which blocked an artery so I kept passing out. He was a preemie because at a certain point in my growth (belly, hips and I only gained 20 lbs) my body couldn't handle it any more and he came almost 6 weeks early.
I feel the physical pain every day chasing my 16 yr old and 2 yr old around but if I stayed still it would be worse. As a matter of fact I am pretty lucky when you see what some other people have to deal with.

I'm so accident prone it's hard to choose. Let's see, right now I have a "sprained" ankle, although I still think my foot is broken and will most likely be back to see the doctor very soon. I have torn both of my rotater cuffs and that really sucks! A lot of pain and I have never recovered from either. I slipped a disc in my back, I think that one might be the worst. The pain sometimes makes me vomit. Not as often as it used to though. I have torn ligaments in my foot and my wrist. I crushed the center knuckly on my pinky finger. I was hit by a car when I was 8 and pretty banged up. I put a screw eye through the top of my head at 7, that one was pretty bad. Oh yeah and I broke my tailbone, that one could be the worst too.
Oh, it's just too hard to choose. Trust me there are even more that I just can't remember or don't care to mention. LOL

Assassination attempt. Knife skidded along the rib, so eighteen stitches later I was pretty much fine and dandy. Though the docs said had it entered half an inch lower or higher and I'd be deader than Aaliyah.
I was lucky, I guess.
Oh, and this whole incident was almost three years ago, so no big deal now. I was a bit stiff for around a month or so, but now I rarely even remember it, except for rainy days, when it itches like a mother******. Oh well, stuff happens, right?

Chest & back contusions & contusion to the eye.
The white of my eye was dark bloody purple for about 3 weeks, & it was very painful.
The chest & back contusions were the most painful thing I ever experienced, simply because the pain did not stop for almost a month straight - every few hours the pain meds would wear off, & in every way you move, you don't realize how much you use your chest & back.
I still have neck injuries that went along with it all, & I have a dislocated rib & slipped disc.

Broke both my legs my left arm three ribs, my jaw, a vertebra in my back and hundreds of stitches! not at the same time mind you but over the course of about 10-12 years I have logged many, many hours in the local emergency room, I was there so often the nurses got to know my name. Sorry if I had to pick the worst I would have to say my back that was four years ago and it still gets to me.

Physically - a broken ankle - it's just weak now, but I recovered.
Emotionally - A broken heart - still trying to recover from that one.
Mentally - Organic Chemistry - Yay... fun, but hard!
Spiritually - No injuries... good thing so far, but I guess I'll see when I die, won't I? LOL.

I have had multiple concussions, a cracked vertebrae, broken arm, broken ankle, and torn cartilage in my knee. Not all at once, of course. I don't know which hurt worse to be honest. I am over my injuries, except I may have to have a knee replacement when I am older because the cartilage is damaged.

the worse injury was when I was in a car crash when I was 17 and was hit by a big truck, It totalled my car and put me and my friend in the hospital with a badly sprained neck and back. I still feel pain from time to time. But I live with it, its not that bad....I am 44 now.
