People need to vent. Most people attack when they are feeling mad/threatened. You don't have to hit...words can hurt just as much. People are *****...simple as that.

I think it's because the angry person subconsciously (or maybe even consciously) wants someone else to feel hurt and angry, too. It's the misery loves company thing. That, and inanimate objects can be broken, but their feelings can't be hurt. Hurting feelings is so much more satisfying to an angry person. If I could explain exactly why this is (and I'm not condoning it), I would be filthy rich.

Well, punching someone else hurts less in the short run than punching a tree. Of course, it will wind up hurting more if you don't drop him on the first swing, but most impulsive people don't think of that. If you're talking emotional stuff here, it just feels good to unload your burdens on someone else, they're not really trying to hurt you. Bookcases just aren't a sympathetic as another person.

Probably someone else was having a bad day, decided to take it out on another and the cycle just continues. It is probably because it makes people feel in control since they didn't have any control over the other person making them feel bad.

Don't take it so personally. They are insecure or in a bad mood. I know what you mean, it even happens to me and of course it always hurts. I wouldn't let it change your demeanor. I just try to take it in and write something really nice or emotional. It really pisses them off when you show true compassion in your writing.

I think many of us take things out most on the ones we love especially because sometimes it's just too hard to hold all of that in. Sometimes if it doesn't come out, then you pin it up inside and it comes out worse later on.

I never like to hurt anyone's feeling's, but people have no problem hurting mine. People are just careless sometimes........ We are only human, after all.

I don't take out my anger on people, but I do *express* my anger to someone who has severely pissed me off. If someone makes me mad, I won't abuse them, but I'll tell them what I feel.

because they would rather take it out on someone Else or throw something than deal with the problem head on.
