if there was a gay/lesbian running it? They wouldn't judge others & the country that they were running would at least be a fair one with no prejudices, don't you agree?

I'm not saying that all gays & lesbians would be great leaders but they sure as hell wouldn't judge anyone because half of the world judges them

No sorry it will always be present when different views collide. There are religious wars, Black/White Discrimination, Latino Discrimination, The rich, poor. There is always gonna be these predjudices in the world because everyone is so diverse. It really dosent only happen in the GLBT group I think evenutally something is gonna come along like global warming or a asteroid hitting that will bring the world together. You are right though we should be all treated equally.

Gays/Lesbians are not perfect. Just more open minded on a certain subjetct, and if they have learned anything on many others. But that does not make us all great leaders

Oh, honey. Sweet thought, but have you ever listened to a group of gay men in an interior decorating class dish on American Idol, bands, boyfriends, and the hideous places they want to get their hands on? The women didn't want to go to the bathroom in one of my classes, because we knew we'd get talked about, too!
What I'm saying is, gay men can be hideously judgemental. So can lesbians. (Two words: Rosie O'Donnell.) So can bisexuals like me. Don't get me wrong--there are lots of kind, fair LGBTs, and some of us can be part-time fair, and no qualified person should be kept away from public office because of their sexual orientation. But there are other ways to improve the world that might work better. :-)

Well it would be nice for our group of homosexuals...but of course I would never elect a leader based on their sexual orientation..just as if I wouldn't deny one because of it. Yes the majority of homosexuals I know are very open-minded and fair/equality thinkers, BUT this is not always the case.

Actually, I have met more prejudiced gays/lesbians in the past 3 years than I have met prejudiced straights. I'm sure that it is a knee-jerk reaction to all the abuse heaped on them for years, but....

Your thoughts do express prejudice, i.e., the act of judging before trial. Your heterophobia makes you sound blissfully naive.

Gay people have prejudices just like everyone else.
The only difference is they''re attracted to members of their own sex.

Yes. And everything would be decorated beautifully. I don't think we'd be at war either, because we can get along with anyone (we've been doing it for years).

I guess. But I don't really think my sexuality would help make me a great leader.
