I saw a doctor on television explaining to a married couple about that - a woman was complaining that although her husband showered twice a day, he always had a strong funky odor. She was told (so remember this) that it isn't just uncleanliness that causes the smell - it's a combo of genes, food that is consumed and lifestyle/activity level. Unfortunately for her, he couldn't be helped.
I guess my point here is no matter what you say, remember that it may not be correctable, and you may just wind up making them feel bad about something they can't change. Good luck!

You have to bring it up in conversation by saying something like: "I hate the summer time, I sweat so much. I feel like I have to put deodorant on double time!!!! Maybe I need a new one.......Hey, what kind of deodorant do you use?????

If you are able to be more direct and blunt, say: "You know I wouldn't say anything to purposely hurt your feelings, but I really want to talk to you about your body odor. Are you aware that you have a strong odor?" Just be very tactful and respectful of them. They will most likely be very embarrassed.

One night a coworker of mine asked if she could crash at my place. She lived an hour away from work, and her car broke down. So I let her stay because we work the same shift, and I didn't mind helping her out. However, I didn't notice her godawful stench until we got in my car. I didn't say anything, but when she fell asleep on my couch, I tiptoed out and sprayed her with Febreze. It didn't help much, though.

I don't think there really is a tactful way to tell someone they stink. No matter how you put it, they'll be offended or hurt.

lmao@beeitch you got to be kidding, right?

Boy, tough question lol.

Just say, "Hey, I'm not trying to be rude AT ALL (make sure you reinforce those two words!), BUT...you kind of have BO. It's ok, I've been in your place before. I just wanted to tell you while we were alone."

Hope this helps! ;-)

Ask if they've ever tried your brand of deodorant, and offer them a bottle
