i dont have a problem with it. i dont think people need to get dressed up for church. god dont care what youre wearing, as long as youre there

Nothing wrong with that.
In fact I think its weird that people dress up to go to church. I think you should be dressed decent but why dress up in clothing you dont normally wear and take off as soon as you get home. Its like wearing a fake smile. Whats the point?
Also it excludes some people from attending church. Those without nice clothes wont feel comfortable.
And thats definitely not what going to church should be about.

So long as they are nice dress pants, I think it's fine. Other than that, I really don't think I am in the place to put restrictions on what kinds of clothes makes a person a good Christian (or whatever religion). I have seen some very poor people come in to church, obviously fresh off the streets, and their love for God and respect of the church and pastor was far more outstanding than that of your average adult decked-out in expensive suits and dresses. Hey, if you were a female, you wouldn't always want to wear a dress, either. :-D

Isn't it more important that a person has the spiritual desire to attend church than focusing on what the person wears? I would rather see someone at church in rags if there's honesty in their hearts, than someone wearing their best suit who are only there for show.

I consider it to be very disrespectful. I was brought up Catholic and I never saw a woman in pants in church.
Now I am Muslim and I don't wear pants often anyhow. Certainly never to Mosque.
It goes into the same category as covering one's hair in the house of your god. It is a matter of respect.

I was raised that a woman shouldn't wear pants so I admit to feeling a little uncomfortable/distracted when a woman wears them to church.

I don't believe God cares what people wear to church. I believe God is happy that we go to worship and to partake in fellowship with other Christians.

i wear pants to church, even jeans to church.
it is not a fashion show, we are all there to praise the same God.
You shouldn't judge people by what they wear!
