There are many problems from computer speed. First of all, your processor and RAM are getting to much of a hassle on their microchips. I suggest you run games/software that require a lot of speed and ram to run unfrequently.

Also don't run to many programs at one time. This can lead to your computer perfomance failing and dropping frequently. If you are going to run programs or games that need a lot of ram, close all programs, even downloads, before you start games or other high requirement software.

You can also upgrade some of your hardware to enhance performance. Eventually, your hardware in your computer will need to be upgraded or replaced due to old age. Depending on the age of your computer, it may be the time to replace some hardware.

Also install programs that you will use very frequently and that you will need. Uninstall any unnessesary programs or delete any unneeded files. If you need a program for a one time, install, use, then uninstall. I garentee your computer speed will be enhanced.

What changed? That's the first question you should ask yourself.

If you didn't change the system hardware, then check the software.

You may have to think clearly and remember as much as you can about the week. I know that if you think hard enough you will discover a change. Go back and check to see if something changed.

You don't just take a hit like that unless there was a change.

Get my point already?

if you are talking about wireless then the operating environment has changed somehow and now the Wi-Fi radio is operating at the lower speed. when the bit error rate gets too high Wi-Fi is designed to drop down to the next exceptable transfer rate

What speed are you referring to? Can't be your CPU...numbers are too low. If you are referring to memory, then that is *not* speed.
