Well all time goes to the 1880 Chicago white stockings but post 1900 ball goes to 1935 cubs
21 games (tie)
1880 Chicago White Stockings
Streak started June 5, 1880 (defeated Providence Grays, 6-3)
Streak ended July 10, 1880 (ended by Cleveland Blues, 0-2) 1935 Chicago Cubs
Streak started September 4, 1935 (defeated Philadelphia Phillies, 8-2)
Streak ended September 28, 1935 (ended by St. Louis Cardinals, 5-7)
The 1916 New York Giants won 26 consecutive games from September 7 to September 30. However, the Giants tied the Pirates in the second game of a doubleheader on September 18 1-1, Major League Baseball treats all ties as if they never existed

Steek?

The 1916 New York Giants had a 26-0-1 streak, and since tie games are ignored for purposes of the standings, this is considered the longest win streak in major league history.

September 7 through 30 (first game).

One against the Brooklyn Robins.
Four against the Philadelphia Phillies.
Four against the Cincinnati Reds.
Three against the Pittsburgh Pirates, a tie in the backend of a doubleheader, then two more.
Three against the Chicago Cubs.
Six (!) against the St. Louis Cardinals.
Three against the Boston Braves, before finally losing.

So every other team in the NL helped the effort.

Interesting to note, the entire streak was at home.

This one is a bit tricky, in 1916 the New York Giants recorded a 26 game win streak with just one problem, the 13th game was a tie and it took them 27 games to get the 26 game win streak but according to the record books the 1916 New York Giants hold the longest win streak at 26 games.

If you decide to rule out the 1916 New York Giants then the 1935 Chicago Cubs are your team, they went 21 straight games in which they recorded a win.
