Since you ask for FIVE, I suspect you want the names of the five men on the FINAL committee involved in the WORDING of the document, that is,

The Committee of Style and Arrangement
(Proposed and appointed September 8, to revise the style and arrangement of the Constitution)

* Alexander Hamilton
* William Johnson
* Rufus King
* James Madison
* Gouverneur Morris

You might also want to consider ANOTHER group of five men charged with the 'original draft' --

The Committee of Detail
(Proposed July 23, members appointed July 24, to create a constitution containing all issues agreed to by the convention)
* Oliver Ellsworth
* Nathaniel Gorham
* Edmund Randolph
* John Rutledge
* James Wilson

The writing of the Constitution was complex, and MANY in the Convention contributed in one way or another to crafting the proposals that ended up in the final version, even if they were not responsible for the document's wording and final structure. That might include names listed in others' answers, esp. those who proposed a "plan" for how the states would be represented, or one or another key pieces (esp. some of the compromises) later adopted, even if with modification, by the Convention. But these folks did not exactly "write" the Constitution.

Special notes on two key men:

1)Gouvernor Morris, chair of the Committee of Style and Arrangement

Of all the men listed above, Gouvernor Morris of Pennsylvania was ONE who had the most influence on the actual wording -- who often trimmed cumbersome elaborate drafts into simpler, more direct and more elegant statements-- as well as on key parts of the structure. He is, in particular, given credit for writing the PREAMBLE himself. (For more on Morris see Richard Brookhiser's book *Gentleman Revolutionary: Gouverneur Morris, the Rake Who Wrote the Constitution*)

2) James Madison
Madison is often called "the father of the Constitution". This needs to be clarified. It does NOT mean (as we have seen) that he was its principle author. He WAS, however, not only involved on the final committee, but played a key role in brokering the major compromises needed to secure support by all the states at the Convention. (This is not to mention his role, with Hamilton & Jay, in writing *The Federalist Papers* to argue for its ratification, or his important work as "floor manager" in the first Congress for the "Bill of Rights" -- amendments whose passage secured the continued support of a number who had originally opposed the Constitution and undercut efforts for a NEW Convention that might have gutted the work of the first one.)

James Madison was assigned to write the entire constitution. Many of the founding fathers debated about what would be included in the constitution (Hamilton, Franklin, Adams among many others). No five men ran the Constitutional Convention in the sweltering summer heat of 1787. The constitution was a compromise among all the candidates

Morris of Pennsylvania was put in charge of the committee to draft the final copy of the Constitution. Other men who had much to do with writing the Constitution included John Dickinson, Gouverneur Morris, Edmund Randolph, Roger Sherman, James Wilson, and George Wythe.

It seems that way because you do not have a proper understanding of the bible. Jesus taught in parables (what you would call "unclear") on purpose. This way the bible would be understandable to all generations even 2000 years later. 4000 years of recorded human history and the bible is still the most read most inspiring book available. The U.S. Constitution would do well to survive only a quarter of that time. Reference William lane Craig if you need a more convincing argument
