take bites from the opposite side of the plate or the side closest to you. I eat from the opposite side.

Wow! I love all the responses. I never knew there was so many ways people just take the food off their plate! We who eat off the opposite side, must be like the lefties of the bunch.

i eat the from the closest side, cause i always turn the plate like a million times until i get the best part and I'm comfortable and then i eat lol

i usually turn my plate so that the rice is on the side closest to me, and i eat from there.. i put my other ingredients eg vegetables onto my rice and eat..
with western food, i do the same, but the meat is on the side closest to me. the main focus of the meal is always on the side nearest to me, adn that is how i eat.

I pick the plate up, tilt it toward me, and sort of "drink" the food off the plate like it's a glass I'm drinking from.
