Volunteer somewhere. An animal shelter, a hospital or nursing home. Offer to assist an elderly neighbor with gardening, put out flyers for dog walking. If you have to stay home, study a language, learn a new craft like sewing or oil painting, or cooking.

Do you have an elderly neighbor? See if you can run errands or do some house/yard work or just as a companion. I have a 12 yr old daughter, she and her friend volunteer once a week at our nearby retirement facility, they play board games, read books/magazines. The elementary school have free breakfast and lunches for everyone under 18 and the school library is open one day a week and ask for student volunteers, do you have anything like that where you live? If so go give a helping hand, it will be fun.

I do not know where you live but do you have a receational program or town pool. Any sports program you could join in town. If not, them volunteering is a good option or go to the library and pick a book you actually want to read. What are your friends doing?

Above ideas are all great. Another idea is to take a class. Not one from school, but one you would reall like to learn. anything from sewing, to juggling, magic, diving, canoeing, something that interests you that is available to you. Check out your park district and YMCA for cheap classes. Also, you might meet some cute boys at those classes.

Join the YMCA and make some friends. Tell your parents how bored you are and I am sure they will at least drop you off at a friend's house before work.
