YES, they are. The reason why it starts a few days before ovulation is because the exact time of ovulation can't be predicted...we can only guess as to when it probably will happen. Also, this gives sperm plenty of travel time since the egg only lives for 12-24 hours after its release.

Your total fertile phase in a cycle is actually about 5 days long. For June, your fertile phase would be June 24, 25, 26, 27, 28. The reason why you add the day after ovulation is in case you ovulate LATE in the day, the egg could technically still be viable the next day. But make no mistake, the BEST time for conceiving is RIGHT BEFORE ovulation happens, just as your calendar states.

Good luck!

You should try all of those days. It's that the best times to try are the day before ovulation and the day of. This is because sperm starts to die out after that, although some can live up to 5 days, usually the X/female sperm though.

Yes they are...Obviously like it says You are Fertile two days and VERY Fertile another...Just have sex all those days...But the only thing is the more days i na row a man has sex the lower his sperm count is. Thats why If a man needs to have a sperm count checked they make sure he doesnt ejaculate for 3 days...So Try to have sex the most on your very fertile day.

those calendars don't always work. mine i was going by was 4 days off! i would have missed it had i not been doing the ovulation kits. if you have sex every other day throughout the month, you chances are good. I, myself would be exhausted! research basal body temping, cervical mucus, and you can try ovulation predictor kits.
