This Cub fan, wants to thank Sammy Sosa for everything he did for me. His 98 season made me a cub fan and maybe more importantly a fan of baseball. sammy should go to the hall of fame. McGwire retired and disapperaed....Palmeiro retired and dissappeared. Sammy worked and came back. It's awesome that I was watching live when he hit it. I seen homeruns 100 to about 550 so it's only natural he hit's it in front of all his old fans. Congrats Sammy and thank you.
I especially wanna hear from my fellow Cub fans, What are you guys thoughts on Sammy?

Ya things fizzled for him at the end of his cub career but for me, (an 18 year old Cub fan) Sammy was my first hero. My first baseball memory was of Sammy and McGwire in 98. I've been really down on him lately but I along with several (maybe not all) Cub fans want to thank him.

Have been a Sammy Sosa fan since he and Mark McGwire ran that great race against each other for the homerun championship.
A lot of fans may have forgotten that for one day that year Sammy was the homerun king when he hit #66. That night McGwire tied him and retook the lead the last few games ending 70 to 66. I have a lot of respect for Mr. Sosa.
Big congrats, Sammy - Jay

I turned the TV off when Sammy hit #600. I will not forget that Sammy bailed out on the team a few years ago. Sammy really wasnt all that likable in the club house, so I've read
I think he did steroids and I know he used a corked bat.

As a Rangers fan, I also want to say congrats!!
He has done 10,000% better than I expected. I am so happy of his return to baseball. He deserves the Comeback Player of the Year award. I just hope he can help make the Rangers a better team.

Steroids?
Corked Bats?
This guys a cheater he deserves to be kicked out of the league and he isn't a team player. He didn't hit 600 for the fans he did it for himself. The guys an asss hole...sure a lot of people use steroids now but not too much use corked bats...2nd biggest cheater in baseball right next to Bonds

**** Sammy Sosa, his *** should still be shining shoes in the Dominican republic. Disappear from baseball while the steroid investigation was hot and forgot how to speak English in front of congress. At least Giambi had the balls to admit what he did.

The greatest part was the fact that the Cubs pitcher Marquis wears number 21. How perfect is that

Yeah that was awesome with that corked bat! Hah just kidding, yeah it is a big milestone to get his 600th HR. He lost a lot of weight looks like he went off the roids, so I wish him all the best!

Baseball players come to the ballpark to perform for their fans. 600 homeruns is a real accomplishment and he did it for his fans at home. Any real baseball fan has to be happy for the Cubs fans.
