Pink Floyd is better. The Who may have had a better drummer and bassist, but Pink Floyd had David Gilmour, who was a phenomonal guitarist as well as singer. Nick Mason and Richard Wright were good--not great. Roger Waters wasn't an outstanding bassist, but he is one of the greatest songwriters of all time. Pink Floyd also broke up even with all members alive. The Who still release albums, but they aren't that good. They didn't kno when to stop.

Pink Floyd! The Who probably could have been greater and had great musicians but did not use their talent. Pink Floyd had to work hard to make it big. They were still learning how to barley play when they started and became one of the best sounding and sofisticated rock bands ever. With and without Syd Barret I choose Pink Floyd. And SyD BaRrEt lives!

Soulful and deep concept music= Pink Floyd
Energitc and short= The Who
Better show=Pink Floyd
Better guitar=tie
Better drums=Kieth Moon (just slightly)
Short run The Who wins. On the long haul, Pink Floyd kills them.
