First of all, IQ's are pretty much meaningless. Some of the smartest people I've ever known had average IQ's. My IQ is way above average but I'm pretty much an idiot. If IQ's did mean anything, age is not a factor and 117 is well above average so, yeah it's good.

IQ is always measured against other people your age. 117 means that you are 17% smarter than the average, so that's not bad!

IQ stands for Intelligence quotient, and it is the measure of your intellectual age divided by your actual age times 100. Hence you are as smart as someone who is 17.55 years old. {(17.55/15)100}=117
