You cannot make anyone do anything. You can share your passion and warm by the fire of theirs. If they perceive their need for warmth they may be drawn by yours as long as you tend it and keep it open and welcoming. Unfortunately I've found that there is such a thing as invincible ignorance, but those who are truly human retain the capacity of thought and reason. Human nature is also social. Wisdom sets a feast and those who are wise are drawn thereunto. Folly will starve in the darkness outside.

This all really depends if the person is stubborn or not. It might be impossible, the same way it might be easy. Sometimes, all you have to do is open their eyes. Take a seemingly boring subject, and reveal facts, information, etc to them. Trust me, it can get them to care. Most people just don't know the facts, and jump rapidly to conclusions without giving it thought.

I would try to put them in that situation. Like visualizing the situation. Maybe they would see it from a different perspective. I think that politicians and trained sales people know how to manipulate people into feeling comfortable, then trusting them, in order to get that person to be in their side of the issue. I do know that people who believe very strongly in their point of view, are less susceptible to change it.

In my opinion, i think that's the hardest thing a person could ever do. I've experienced something like that, and all i can do and say is that you should trust for that person to make the right decision and have faith in them. another thing that makes a difference is to encourage that person on their views but give an even bigger positive site on yours.

You can only offer information. People have free will and no one should be forced to care about anything, or even anyone.
Sadly, it is one person pushing their ideas on another that might cause a war.

Demonstrate to them how it affects their lives, or affects someone that they care about. This is just good salesmanship, and salesmanship is just good education!

You have to make them care about it monetarily and then you will have their attention.
