If you mean did he get fired from being a color commentator for the Mets, the answer is "No". He just doesn't do every game.

Fired from Seinfeld? He has been retired since 1989, after a stellar career with the Cardinals and Mets. He was actually Co-MVP in 1979 when he led the National League in batting and shared the honor with Willie Stargell of the Pirates. He was a career .296 hitter with 162 home runs and 1071 RBI, but was probably best known as a slick fielding first baseman, winning 11 gold gloves. After his playing career, he made a couple of appearances on the popular tv show Seinfeld.

It sounds like Ron Darling and Keith Hernandez don't do every game. They probably take breaks, depending on the schedule.
This is the first year we've gotten the Mets' broadcasts, and I like the three of them (with Gary Cohen) at work.

Even though he works most games during the regular season, he doesn't do them all. SportsNet New York's website says he works "over 100" games this season.
He has not been fired.
His bio is still up on the site, as it always is. He's still in the promos. You'll be hearing Gary, Keith, and Ron as usual. Stay tuned.
