I just finished reading Jimmy Carter's book, "Our Endangered Values" and, with no disrespect intended, I have concluded that the man is an idealistic fool.
Despite the constant failures in trying to utilize diplomacy, negotiations and talks with the Islamic radicals, he still believes that these failed policies are the best way to address these concerns. He has an unrealistic optimism about the ability of some people to participate in rational discussion and compromised diplomacy.
Sounds a lot like the policies the Europeans used with Hitler - all the while his ideology of hate and domination grew stronger support.

Carter is a sheep being led by the likes of Pelosi, Hillary, Harry Reed, and Teddy Kennedy (whose father became wealthy by bootlegging whiskey).
