you gotta go tampon
don't be scared, it doesn't hurt, it doesn't make you a "non virgin"

its easy to get in and out, they can't get lost, they won't fall out

you don't have a choice, believe me the world of tampons are great

Not all girls are suited for wearing tampons. Whether or not tampons are right for you is a highly personal decision. Therefore, it is recommended that the tampon is tried for a minimum of 3 days to ensure comfort and practicality. For some people, even the thought of using a tampon is offputting - don't worry, there is no pressure to try.

If you want to wear a tampon. You might be interested to know that you can swim while wearing a tampon. However, never use for more than 8 hours, as this increases the chance of Toxic Shock Syndrome. Remember to use a less absorbant tampon if you are less experienced.

Just wade. Wear a nice pair of shorts or a pair of skorts and simply wade in as much as you can. You can still be around your friends and you don't need to make any detailed explanations - just say that you think the water's too cold or that you're not feeling up to swimming that day.

Be brave and 'fess up. "I don't want to swim right now because I'm on my period". If everyone present is female, they'll understand. If you're in mixed company, the boys will probably be too embarassed to give you a hard time about it.

Well, I was the same way. If you're nervous...ask a female figure who uses tampons, find the most comfortable fit ones, and just apply it immidiately before the party. Don't keep it in longer than four hours, if you're nervous.
And, also...if it feels uncomfortable...you may not have put it in far enough...so if there is any discomfort, it's most likely not a problem, and there are easy solutions.
If you have to, try it once, at home...before the party...leave it in for an hour to test it.
Trust me, there is no big risk in trying a tampon, as long as you take it out after having been in for four hours.
It's too rare for it to get stuck. Make sure you read the package to find out how to apply it correctly.
Hope i could help.

I am sure that you are very nervous, but the only way to get in the pool is with a tampon. Other wise, you can ware a pad and stay out of the pool.

Sweetie I was in the same situation as you.

I just decided I'd try a tampon. If you put it in right it doesn't hurt, you can't feel it at all. I've never had one leak, even on my heaviest days. They're god sent, lol. They look soooo scary but they're not; it doesn't hurt if applied properly (ask someone you trust to atleast explain to you how to do it, maybe?) and no one will know any better.

Good luck.

I'm sorry to say theres nothing you can do but put IN a tampon. I don't like tampons and i don't use them, so i know what you mean. But tampons aren't guaranteed to prevent blood leakage. So, I think we have to conclude this with you not being able to swim at all. Sorry.

1] get a junior size tampon, ajar of vaseline, and a mirror
2] go in bathroom and lock the door
3] take off pants and panties.
4] squat over mirror
5] put vaseline on insertion end of tampon
6] spread vaginal lips gently, and relax [ exhale ]
7] insert tampon at 45 degree angle, towards small of back.
Push in as far as it will go, and push inner barrel to leave tampon in. Remove applicator.
Push string inside your suit so no one sees it, move string aside when you pee, and don't leave in longer than 6-8 hours.

I know it's so scary to put in a tampon...believe me I'm 16 and i remember how scared I was to use one.

I promise you...if you put it in right, it wont hurt at all(you wont even know you're wearing one) and you will like it WAY better than wearing pads(because lets face it: they feel like diapers)

Don't give up on your first try if you cant put it in...I know you can do it and you will be so happy once you can. GOOD LUCK!

I was the same way - if you go in water B4 the pool party your body knows and stops to slow the flow of bleeding. and once your in the pool it will stop all together.
