We moved into a house with several very small azaela bushes. Some them have very light green leaves and seem stunted. I put bone meal around them like my mother suggested. Anyone have any other ideas?

Buy some Miracid at Home Depot or similar store and mix according to directions. Also, if you have access to pine needles, put them around the base of each plant.

I am not sure where you live but the new growth after flowering on azaleas starts off as a lighter green and of course the leaves will be smaller until they develop. I live in NH and mine are as you describe but also very healthy. So wait a while. Azaleas like an acid food but should be given in early spring.

you might try a little Ironite. It helps correct a mineral deficiency on soil that might help darken up the leaves.
