MAE! I don't care for it, but there are worse names, like Mable Jean or Nettie Jean, or LeeOnna Jean so so on.
Mine makes me feel like a month of the year...April, May, June...May flowers etc. I have heard them all.
Parent need to realize that a child will be stuck with their names forever and give it some thought.

I have two - Graeme Steacy - and I hate them both...
I know that the Steacy has been passed down to the firstborn son for at least three generations - both my dad and grandfather have it as their (only) middle name...
(or maybe it's the first child - but so far it's always been a boy)
But... they are also both named Fred - looks like I managed to avoid having "the third" tacked onto the end of my name ;););)

Dale-no I don't like it. I am a girl. I get all kinds of chuckles and comments of disbelief.
I may like my middle name to be Belle after my paternal grandmother. Or Lynn, that's sounds nice with my first and last.

Renee (pronounced Ra-neigh) It's ok I guess kind of flows with my first name Serena. Serena Renee. You get used to it after a while. Hate my first name. I used to get called Purina in school (like Purina Dog Chow)

Shantae.............lol! but my first name covers up for the ghettoness.............it's Brittany! but i like it, my cousin and i share this middle name because we were to 2 youngest grandaughters and the oldest two had the same middle name so they gave us the same middle name. I think it's a cool family tradition. Very unique!

Maree it's okay, but it bugs me that I was the first born outo f my cousins with Maree as a middle name and then their parents all used Maree too. And spelt the same.
