The Liberal media is a myth. If the media was Liberal Bush would have gotten bad press from the start, not just since it has became painfully obvious that he is destroying America. We want the fairness doctrine because we want fairness, not political hacks churning out propaganda, unchecked and unchallenged.

They also have most of the news papers.
But you are expecting that the law would be enforced fairly.
Fox News and talk radio would be held to the standard but NBC, CBS, ABC and CNN would not.
Neither would the news papers around the country.
This would be a direct attack on the freedom of the press.
Those in power are always afraid that the truth will get out especially if they are doing something unpopular.

because they don't think it is fair that they can't express thier opinion on a liberal show on talk radio or a liberal outlet against fox news. They believe that abc, nbc and msnbc is not liberal biased so they deserve a liberal station since conservatives have thiers,.

Fairness is a child's conception of justice. It doesn't exist, never has, never should. It is the call of the socialist, who wants everything equal, not competition.
In school, if you bring something special, you have to share it with everyone else, "to be fair" (NOT in my classroom). You learn not to bring anything special.
In school, if someone wins, you try to remove it, because someone loses and will feel bad, so it isn't "fair" (NOT in my classroom). You learn not to try too hard.
In school, everyone gets an award (NOT in my classroom), as everyone is special and deserves something. You learn not to value awards very highly.
Fairness will destroy our free speech. Justice will encourage it.
Use the money to look for where the media is being influenced to be politically biased, rather than arranging to do the very thing they should be investigating (artificially balancing the scales regardless of the demand and interest of the public).
I'm a democrat, second; I'm a patriot, first. I LIKE competition and capitalism.

Conservatives, who are essentially Fascist-Nazi's, are all for freedom of speech and the free expression of ideas as long as they agree with them. They want to use the Fairness Doctrine to shut down AM talk radio, which is mostly Moronic, because they have not been able to effectively counter the phenomenon, and because it exposes "Bible Thumpers" and Conservatives for what they are - Fascists.

to silence those that speak the truth, as the truth has always been a threat to the modern post 60s liberals. and beside that they're embarrassed about being an incredible failure at trying to go up against talk radio with Air America, aka joke of talk radio.

Quite simple really; fewer and fewer people are watching ABC, NBC etc....more and more people are watching FOX and listening to conservative talk radio. They need the fairness doctrine to indoctrinate the sheeple again. They had it made back in the day before the Internet, talk radio and FOX. Now they need "rules" to get it back.
