I have to set it as master, because my other drive has windows me on it.

It boots up in the other computer.

Some hard drive cables use one connector for the Master and the other for the Slave. Try reversing the order your drives are connected in and see if that does it. Of course, you can't have two masters, so you won't be able to boot off Windows ME.

Jumper settings. The hard drive that came or was installed in the new computer should have it's jumper set to "Master" and the drive out of your old machine needs to be set to "Slave" and should be attached to the middle tap on the same cable as the Master.

you need to put it on slave... maybe both of them are masters in the same data cable. check the bios which one boots fist
