suck on hard candy for the sore throat.
You can take plain old tylenol too.

for everything else you can take sudafed, the one without most of the crap in it.

and benadryl is good too.

these are words straight from my OB's mouth.

I would check out your local Health Food store and ask around for mild herbal teas and stuff that is soothing but not drug based. Homeopathic remedies are the only all natural medicines I know of to be safe. (I'm pregnant too and have been using homeopathics all my life and throughout the pregnancy) A homeopathic doctor or naturalpath doctor could help you out with what exactly to take for a cold or flue. These doctors are great and really know their stuff. The Health food store may have doctors they can refer you to. My midwife uses them too and suggests many of the remedies for pregnancy complaints that there are seems to be no conventional methods of treatment for. (-Like moodiness and trauma as well as the actual labor and birth.)
You are wise not to suppress your cold or take over the counter drugs as these really do effect your baby WAY more than the common cold does.
Hope you get feeling better!!! Drink tons of water!
