We men do not have a tough time complimenting each other. But we do not do it in the same style as women. We do not shower effusive, flowery, seemingly insincere praise on each other. A simple "Good job" said by one man to another means a lot.

You'll have to ask another man, I have no problems giving compliments to another man. And no, I'm not gay. And I've met a number of women who can't give compliments to other women, maybe they're the exceptions that prove the rule.

Thats something I'll never understand cause a guy is afraid to tell another guy he looks nice due to homophobia, but they will smack each other on the *** all day long during a football game and they call it a man thing. Go figure. lol

I don't think that's true at all. In fact I think guys do it better than girls because we have less hangups. What, you've never stood behind the bench at a hockey game? All sports guys do is compliment each other.
When guys give high-fives, fist bumps, etc., that is complimentary.

I disagree; men are very sincere in their compliments.
If they admire what a man has accomplished, they tell him.
Most men do not give shallow insincere compliments;
about superficial things like appearance or dress.

My husband says "It just doesn't feel right. saying 'oh I love your sweater!' it makes you feel gay." It happened to him once before we were married, the was a guy at the bar and he said,"Hey dude, I like your shirt, where did you get it?" then the guy said something like, "JCpenney's, and where can I get one of you?"
my husband was shocked at the response when a girl walked by and said, "A gay couple, not every day you see one of those!" click and took a picture. he'll never forget that day!
Women have to act like men to be called lezbo's u get my point?

It`s because men were born with a sense of pride that enables them to feel the need to share their feelings with anyone for fear of showing their sensitivity which they know they have but are afraid of.

Because they are afraid the other man will think they are hitting on them, it's weird how men act that way.
Or fear of being called gay.
