JFK would be considered a republican today.

The difference is that JFK is dead and the today Dem's are are still trying to figure a way to cover for all the promises they made, to get that great chair they sleep in. The other Kennedy has submitted and got them passed , nearly as many bills that are not in best interest of the American people ,than many others have, he has to carry on that Kennedy "ask what you can do for your country." Ask about 20 million illegals, probably really a lot more than this, they will agree with him. I do not.

JFK was the first Rock-Star President..

he wasn't the same as we now view the rest of the Kennedys..sure he too loved women..but rubbed elbows with
superstars and partied with Sinatra and his pals
.
JFK was young..was a President when there was always
an eye kept on the Cold War..had a belligerent in Krysuchev
and stood toe to toe with the bully

he was a leader that projected class..it was the superfluous things that made him great..unlike today's lost generation being led by the hand by the secular humanists

In some ways JFK was a true elitist, coming from a very wealthy family he turned around what the government owned to those that paid the bills, to what those tax payers could expect from their government

Two things I know.

Unlike todays democrats JFK passed a huge reagan style tax cut and the nations econemy improved.

Also JFK was a fighter against communism although I don't agree with all his methods.

In my opinion JFK was highly over rated name something of importance he done while in office. He was an earlier form of Clinton he was just able hide his affairs better. Basic democrats don't know what they believe they just play it by ear and what ever will get them elected they don't take a stand on issues they say what you want to hear then do nothing once you vote them into office.

JFK had superior public relation people and the few ideas He projected were overblown. Today the overblown factor seems to be the ego of today's leadership in the party. Since they have no plans they concentrate of preventing others from putting forth theirs.

The big difference is that the Military-Industrial complex has not gotten around to blowing the current Democrats' heads off...yet. (Just let any one of them say we're going to pull back and quit wasting trillions of dollars.) You know the ones, the ones who can buy anything, and anyone, they want(except JFK).

Oh! I thought it was Marilyn Monroe...jk I'm a huge fan of JFK...and yes I can still remember where I was when he was assasinted...and yes I do believe except for a brief respite we got with Ronald Reagan that 1963 was the beginning of a sad time for the USA that unfortunately is not over yet...whew...
sorry abut the outburst :) by the way I am a Republican....who votes for the best possible candidate

JFK was on narcotic pain pills for his back. He also had great taste in women..and the charisma. I don't think we'll find another like him. He had style, and I think a pretty good liberal heart; except expanding the Vietnam War.

Clinton idolized him. He tried to act like JFK, but nope.

keep in mind youre talking to a lot of the same democrats. my mother is a democrat who adored that speech. it changed her whole perspective as a kid. and she still lives by it.

and there are a lot of soldiers who are doing a lot for their country and they are democrat.

but yah all citizens of this country could afford to stand up for what they believe in a little more. things like liberty and democracy, you're right.
