I love them because they can be taught to love you forever even with thoes people who abuse animals, a Dog will still love you.They always want to play and have fun! When you come home they greet you with excitement and licks!No matter if its 3 am.They're great

Dogs are the best companions, they love you completely and unconditionally. They bring you joy, lots of laughter and they're incredibly smart and intuitive. They guide the blind, and are a blessing to autistic children, they can sense seizures, etc. they're amazing creatures.....angels in fur. =)

I agree. There is only one dog--happy, loving, playful, hungry and enthusaistic. He just has 60 millions impersonators. I measure how good a day is by how many dogs and cats I see/meet/greet/get to pet.
What I love about dogs is that they have their own purposes, which may have nothing to do with me or with my aims. They're the descendants of wolves, yet they have allowed us to be their pack leaders--and they even forgive us for screwing up the job.
They are totally honest, even when they're stealing food or disobeying orders--they're just being DOG! They're adorable, occasionally very brave, sociable and each one has his/her own personality.
Cats are frequently more admirable and less demanding; they can be just as cute and truysting. But they let us live in their house--the dog wants us to run the house for him so he can do what he does--pursue any food but his own, wolf down his own food, gnaw a chewy bone, fetch dog toys and beg for a chance at walkies.
What's not to love?

Our dogs are like our children. They have such great personalities, can always make me laugh when I'm down and they truly do love unconditionally. I just love to watch them play and get excited over the little things like bugs, a squirrel or a butterfly. Dogs are the best friend you will ever have.

I love dogs because they want to love you and just like being with you, even if all you're doing is sitting there.
They are amazing company.
As many others have said, unconditional love is what a dog has, and I love that... how they show their affection and happiness.
Just when they see you they get all excited.
Dogs are fun to play with and just to watch them play.
All of them have such distinct personalities.
Dogs are just so eager to please, and if you're happy they are happy.
And if you're not.. they will sense it and stay by your side and love on you and what not.
That is why I love them the most.
