I don't know if this is a fungus, mold, or anything of that nature, but it appeared to develop over night. It is mustard in color and not solid. When touched, it acts like a thick, gelatinous substance. I uploaded pictures of it to imageshack to help with the identification process, since I know my verbal description is a bit foggy.

It appears to be a slime mold. It's really harmless and will "die out" on its own.

It doesn't look like growth to me. It looks like someone spilt a cooled off liquid - something that puts you in the mind of the broth from chicken soup..... Sorry, thats the first thing I thought about. Sounds corny but kids have spilt things on my lawn & that's what it resembles.

First off, ew. That's gross.

Second, that's what my dog's barf looks like if she eats something bad and barfs in the lawn. I'm not being an ****, I'm just saying that I always thought that her barf was some kind of mushroom crap everywhere or something.

...Good Luck !

If it dries up and gets "crispy" it's dog vomit. If it doesn't, it's dog barf fungus. YES, dog barf fungus. Totally non-harmful, just gross. Check at your local garden center for the fungicide you need.
