i'm a teen and we're moving to a house on the country side and the owner of the house lives next door. its a nice rental house so i can't bring the dog inside.
and i have to leave him outside. and he is a house dog and does not like being outside. he cries and barks. he's been with us for like 4 or 5 yrs. and he's old, smart, loving, caring. idk what to do. and it gets really hot during the summer and cold during the winter.
i don't wanna give him to family member because i know how they are. they wont take care of him. what to do???? we are moving this weekend.

If you cannot find a trusted member of the family or friends and building him a covered shed with heat and protection from the elements is not an option. The best and kindest thing to do would be to take him to an ANIMAL RESCUE foundation or group because they are animal lovers and would place him with the right person and he would NOT be put down.

This is so hard! Your heart must be breaking. Have you thought of asking your landlord for an exemption and he could make regular checks to see that their is no dog waste or damage in the house. My brother got lucky with a nice landlord who let him do this. I wish you so much luck! I hope this works!!

For winter you could buy him a dog house and put some blankets in there to help keep him warm and for summer put a kiddie pool outside that he could lounge in. You would just have to do this until you're old enough to get your own place and take him w/ you!!:)

Build him a nice big doghouse and make it a castle for him. Make sure it is nice and comfortable for him and make a door so he go in and out any time he has to go.

as long as you are nearby, and he knows it, he'll be fine. dogs are much more adaptable than you think.
