He does not inspire leadership.

1. He's stupid.
2. He's arrogant.
3. He doesn't obey the laws or the Constitution.
4. He and his fellow neocons want to amend the Constitution to rob us of our freedoms.
5. He still hasn't given an acceptable justification for the Iraq war. He doesn't even have a plan for success. He just plans to keep the troops there as long as he's in office, no matter what happens. If that war ended, he'd start another, because he doesn't know what else to do to keep his approval rating from slipping all the way to 0%.
6. He and Cheney are making big money on the war.
7. He brags about cutting taxes, but his tax cuts only affect the very rich (like himself). The rest of us will bear the burden of his childishly reckless spending.
8. He hasn't done a thing about any of our domestic problems. He's been trying to use the war to distract eveyone from them, as in "Wag the Dog".
9. He's a hypocrite. He went to see the Pope before vetoing stem cell research, and he's not even Catholic.
10. He wants to force Christianity on people whether it's their chosen faith or not. That makes him no better than the Taliban.
11. He condones torturing prisoners, in violation of the Geneva Convention.
Is that enough reasons for now? I could come up with more, but it's a distasteful subject to me.

I dont hate Bush. I do not like all he stands for and he has made some serious mistakes BUT he has also done some good things. I feel the same way about him as I did Clinton. I liked somethings he did and disagreed with others.

Well, what do you define as "etc"? It's the war and "etc" why people hate him! IT'S THE WHOLE SHEBANG, THE WHOLE PACKAGE. Everything he says and does, the way he speaks (stupidly). He's hated because he's a coward and an idiot....You couple that with thickheaded which just adds fuel to the fire. People are forced to follow a thick-headed idiot that can destroy the prosperity and sanity of a country with one nap or bike ride. This is why he is VERY disliked.

His approval rating is at 29% for a reason. He does not do what the American people want him to do and is going against everything that most people want. He is a C student doing an F job as our President.
When George tilts his head to the side as he stops talking and gets that funny look on his face, wanna know what he is thinking?

Basically, a lot of people feel that this war is unjustified because of the amount of money, publicity, and dead soldiers that it's cost the U.S. Because George W. Bush feels so strong about it, people don't like him. In addition, when he chooses to make a big deal about issues that DON'T affect people nearly as much as the war such as gay marriage, it makes him look even worse.

Well 3,000,000 more Americans loved him more than Kerry.
Sorry, your question assumes facts not in evidence.
There are a ton of people who are angry and miserable, and most don't even know why. So instead of taking responsibility for them selves, it is easier to hate and blame, whatever Pied Piper they currently follow tells them to........
Look at the answers you got. Others than about 3, none gave answers other than "He's an Idiot" or something...Stem Cell? Please Embryo Stem Cell is old Sciene as the breakthroughs are coming from Adult and Umbilical Cord research....People are so uneducated is is almost scary....No, it IS Scary.....

Because he and his administration are responsible for the deaths of hundreds of thousands of innocent people - all for their own profit. It is no coincidence that this president and his closest administration pals are all oilmen who just happen to profit handsomely by this war. If you buy that, I just don't know how to speak your language...
Other than that, he is a hypocrit on the largest possible scale and most likely the dumbest man to ever enter the oval office (including the cleaning staff who enter it).
He has no soul.
He is just fine with torturing innocent people.
He wants to tap your phones and read your mail without a court order to do so - does no one care about civil liberties and privacy anymore?
He gave the president of Germany a back rub - she is a woman afterall...
Katrina!
Cronyism!
Incompetence!
