Seems to me that information products are the way to go. That is, products that you can create for little or no cost and then resell at reasonable cost in high numbers.
Failing that, source product from China, buy in bulk and resell at good profit margins.
Provide a fast, friendly service and encourage repeat business and good feedback and you're well on your way.

I have not known or heard of anyone doing that. It is possible, there are lot of seller on Ebay, and many people have stores on Ebay. Go on Ebay ans see some of the jewelry stores, I would not be surprised if they made even more that $1000.00 however, one needs to have merchandise that is in demand in order to sell it. Find a good product that people want with a decent mark up. Its tough cause everybody wants to sell on ebay. And everyone so everyone trys to sell the same stuff too. I suggest picking something you know and and researching the heck out of it and looking on message boards and calling around for a place to source the product.

Find lots of items cheap, with a high value, then re-sell it for lots of money.
Alternatively, own lots of crap that others are willing to pay big bucks for.
