People are still enlisting in the military voluntarily... They know what is going on in the Middle East when they sign the dotted line.

If they are willing to pay the ultimate sacrifice for their country... really what business is it of yours?

OK Dude, first of all, war is war. I don't know if you think that this is fun times for those of us that have served time over in the Middle East and had crap explode around us on a very consistent basis, you are mistaken. However, The vast majority of us (being the men and women who have/are served/ing) signed our name on the dotted line to protect our country. There are the few who just tried to run away from a life they did not like and ended up in something they don't understand. Screw them. You volunteered, you take the risk.

If you are looking at numbers saying that there are too many dying, then you need to look at what freedom costs. If you think that standing outside a place waving banners and burning flags is going to solve anything, then you are sorely mistaken. People do this trying to prove a point that they don't agree with political aspects of military actions. Understand that the extreme vast majority of the military see this and want to kick the crap out of everyone in that crowd.

How many will die? Pull up on your ears and say "pop." Now that you have your head out... Think of what we are fighting against. This is NOT a conventional war. This is in a place with civilians we are trying to help protect over there to help them to stabilize there world. In turn, if there area is stabilized then it severely decreases the chance of another September 11th to happen. I don't know what you were doing on that day, but I can pretty much guarantee that you were not one of us that were working extreme long hours to prepare for whatever our Commander in Chief needed us to do. I remember the first few days vividly and I would hope you do too.

So how many will die? As many as need to to prevent your butt from getting killed by a terrorist.

How many more liberals will have a gerbil shoved up their *** before you realize that it is the liberals who have cost us more lives in Iraq than the republicans? It is the liberals diverting funds from needed equipment that is costing us more lives. It is the liberals shoving their thumbs up their ***, and doing not a damn thing except draw public attention and camera time to promote their selfish agendas, that is costing us more lives.

I don't have a problem if someone doesn't agree with me. But stupid asinine comments like yours just makes me wish we had done nothing. Just so you could sit here and ask instead, "Why aren't we doing anything about Saddam Hussein torturing, murdering the people in his country. Using chemical weapons on his people."

No. No one looks good in a war.

Only idiots like you who use the dead bodies of those fallen as a PODIUM to preach your asinine rhetoric brings shame to us all.

Statistically, maybe around 900 in Iraq, plus some in Afghanistan. In addition to the usual losses from non-combat related causes - accidents, illness, natural causes, suicide, etc - that you get even in peace time, of course.
