Hi! I thought everyone experienced this until I discovered it was a condition called Synesthesia meaning sensation.... a phenomenon where senses are coupled. It's just wonderful to hear music when seeing a color ... and the reverse! Life becomes a multi-media event! And...it seems there are endless variations. To me, the word "jet" overrides a sensation... the "ta" softening it. I see a deep rich pearl gray:))))))
Enjoy it!

There is a Japanese movie called "Synesthesia Divine Thriller", directed by Toru Matsuura. A movie that describes some people that experience multiple meanings when they perceive anything with their senses. Like rainfall would be flowers falling from the sky, and Mickey mouse looks more horrifying than cute. What colour does my name Kim seem to you? It looks yellow to me, but I don't have synesthesia though. Oh, Jetta seems like a dark reddish purple.

I googled it and all I got were types of "jetta" cars, so, yeah, whatever, but I think your right, it sounds like some kind of dark color.

I imagine if your name was Scarlet you would see red or if someone's name were Violet you would see purple?

Jetta to me is a Volkswagen model.

I have always set colors to letters and numbers. In fact if I see and "E" that's not green it just doesn't look right.. "T" is black "A" is red and so on... There is a clinical name for this but I can't remember what it is....

That's called synesthesia, it's a very rare condition where your senses sort of mix together so you associate colors with names and things like that. I kinda wish I had it, it seems neat.

Sometimes I do, but I like imaging what kind of animal a person resembles (in character traits and/or physiognomy).
I once knew a man who looked like a cow to me, no kidding.
