If you have an AGP Slot, I wouldnt go anything less than an X1950PRo. Everything else is pretty outdated.

If you have a PCI Express slot, the best value card on the market is the 8800GTS from Nvidia. So much power for a decent price. If too expensive, then the X1950Pro, and if still too expensive, a 7600GT wont disappoint. Youll play at about medium settings in most current games, and low in future games, but its a good budget card. 8800GTs will hold you on high settings for about 6 months, then will play mostly high-med settings for a year or two to come.

Ah, Tez. the primary Y!A tard who claims to know lots, yet is universal with diddly squat. you're recommending an 8800GT? particularly? you're recommending a video card this is quite a few generations previous college, can not be discovered new, can not be discovered with a guaranty, is directly fading into obsolescence, gets outrun by utilising sub-$one hundred video enjoying cards, and has awful overall performance to ability intake whilst in comparison with in demand enjoying cards, to no longer point out no help for DX11? Get out of right here and are available lower back once you have reached the in demand era. additionally, for the sub-$one hundred industry, Nvidia does not have a unmarried card which could beat AMD in fee for the money. no longer something. they could commerce blows at different cost factors, yet you're way off right here. i might say you may get by utilising with a Radeon 5670, yet i might strongly propose a 5770 or 6770 (surely a similar element) as a solid budget gaming card. i might additionally propose no longer finding for the main inexpensive card you may get, however the appropriate card you may get for the money you may desire to spend. you're no longer doing your self any favors by utilising going for the main inexpensive attainable answer.

The 7300GT is cheap and can play many games. It is available in both AGP and PCIe versions. Faster cards may require you to spend extra for the power supply upgrade.

You could get 8600GTS if u have Pci-e. It is equivalent to 7900gs I am almost sure. For something under $100, try this:

It is Pci-e also.

If AGP, follow the other people.
