I have a box of carbon paper. From the research I have done, it may be from the 1930's. It is in a box that reads "Marlowe & Iwaya Co.; Carbon Paper; 28 Reade St. New York.
What is a website where I can find history about this company &or it's carbon paper ? A FREE site ?

Give your local library a call or visit. They may have historical copies of what is called a Thomas Directory or Register for the New York area. This is fairly comprehensive source of business information. My guess is the company is out of business, but there is another possibility. Since the company name refers to its owners (I assume) if the company has changed hands since the 1930's, the name may have changed also. Take the box and a sample to (or call) a paper company that has been in the New York area for a long time (Yellow pages - "in business since 19--") see if anyone remembers them. Last resort - wait for "Antiques Roadshow". LOL Good luck - tough one.

This is the only thing I could find. It is a business directory from 1930 Brooklyn. Look down the list for carbon paper. There were several companies that sold carbon paper. At least this is a start.
