At half a billion for 400feet I have calculated that to complete the wall right across the Mexican border would cost $12876.6 billion dollars and would bankrupt the U.S economy in which case the Mexicans will find the wall useful for keeping out American illegals.

I saw Mount Rushmore several times while on vacation as a child and was never impressed in the least. It is propaganda created for nothing and maintained by taxpayers dollars. Blow it up and make the place a revenue generating state park.

First and formost, those are not socialist liberals on Mt. Rushmore, those are Democrats spinning in their graves at the sight of what their party has become. Secondly, there is a large chunk of change just sitting in an account waiting for congress to decide what to do with it, so no fund raiser needed.

I think 400 feet for over 1/2 billion dollars is more a statement about the extreme inefficiency of government than it is a statement about "neocons".
I guess - just like social security, terrorism, and the permanence of poverty created by handouts instead of help - we should ignore the illegal immigration problem.

Better if they sold you, though I don't think you'd bring very much. Maybe they should sell off Hollywood and use that money for the fence and plenty of bullets to use on anyone trying to climb it.

Just put a minefield there with a big sign that says, "DO NOT CROSS" in English and Spainish, then we'll see who wants to cross over illegally.

It wasn't just cons that wanted a wall. Regardless, the wall was a silly idea anyway. A monitoring system could have been installed at a fraction of the price.

Mount Rushmore...libs???? Exactly how do you figure? The founding fathers were VERY conservative, and so was Lincoln.
Are you smoking crack?

Not bad...I kind of like the idea of recycling the Berlin Wall--use its old bricks, etc, to build the New Wall. It would make a statement. A strange statement, perhaps unintelligible, but a statement.
