By sacrificing yourself you are following in the footsteps of Jesus Christ, God made flesh. He set the example for us.

No, I believe in one God. To sacrifice yourself is suicide and that God does not forgive

I sacrifice myself daily, for my children, husband, parents, even some friends. I do it to bring them comfort and joy not to make myself a god. I do hope that someday I will be blessed somehow but then I guess with a man who loves me and two healthy and happy children I already have.

I also believe that we all have a little bit of god in us all so if we are born being part of god do we lose it by our not sacrificing ourselves for others?

The second part of that question has nothing to do with the first. Perhaps you can reword that to say "worthy of being a god"? Or something like that. Because as it stand it makes no sense.
