I just heard a friend of mine, has a daughter in law. Who was on the birth control patch. A few weeks ago she developed a blot clot in her uterus. They did lot's of test's did not know for sure why she developed a blot clot. Now she has it in her lungs and is back in the hospital. She has four young children. Why are these Pharmasutical make us more sick than really helping us?

There has always been a risk with using the Pill. But i agree. Medications do seem more dangerous. The side effects are listed longer that what the medication is used for. All we can do is research on everything our doctor gives us and ask questions. I drive my doctor crazy but too bad for her!

Pharmaceuticals do extensive testing on products, and most of the time they are perfectly safe for a very high portion of the population, but there are those VERY few people that have adverse reactions to some medications, that the producers never saw in any trials, or it was such a low number, they released the drug anyway. I have taken ALL kinds of medications, and have not once had an adverse reaction, so it really depends on the person, because everyone is different, and there is no way the company's can test every single person. I hope this helps!

That's exactly what they want to happen. They don't want to CURE anything, although there ARE cures in the HERB world. There are herbs that cure cancer, alzheimers, diabetes, and most, if not all of the deseases known to man. The drugs they use to treat illnesses, only treat the symptoms and form other deseases that different drugs are prescribed for. The side affects are miriad.

Herbs, on the other hand, not only cure, but make bad cells good, or disolve bad ones. AND have NO side affects.

Face it. The FDA does NOT want you to know about this because if they told you there were cures in herbs and veggies and fruit, they would be out of business. And their business is to make money... not heal. The drug companies and the petrolium companies run this country, period.

A doctor put a woman with cancer on herbs and veggies and she was totally cured of it... What did the FDA do? Pressed charges against him for not going "according to their protocal" and put him in prison!!!!!

There are health food store where you can get many herbs and vitamins etc.. There are also books called "Today's Herbal Health" by Louise Tenny; and "The Green Pharmacy" by James A. Duke Ph.D.

Don't take my word for it, check it out for yourself and prepare to have your mind blown!

Another book I recommend is "Ain't Nobodies Business If You Do" by Peter McWilliams. This last one gives a history of this country, and the way it was MEANT to be by the "founding fathers"

Good luck!

everyone should be more cautious about the medications they ingest. however in this particular case...blood clots from birth control are rare in women under 35 who do not smoke. if she is older than this and/or smokes then it makes sense this happened to her and she should have read the fine print before taking it.

the word pharmasuticals comes from the latin word pharmacon which means to cure by killing. so that is why pharmacueticals can make us sicker rather than cure us. more like they make one part of us sicker/weaker while curing another part of us.

this is a well known complication of the patch, this should not be such a surprise. while relatively rare, it does happen to women on the patch. birth control has helped many more women than it has hurt. it is only recently (past 40 yr or so) that women have had the ability to control their reproductive destiny. this complication is just one of those things. if she gets pregnant, the same thing can happen.

a really big part of this is because doctors are sometimes overprescribing, especially in the past. If we use them too much, the bacteria and different body cells are becoming immune or even sensitive to them because they are mutating. hope that helped a little bit.
