My fiance and I are from 2 different cities. Hes from chicago and im from a small city in Ohio. Hes a city boy and im a country girl. Dispite those differences we get along quite well...we just accept that we are different. However we do often disagree on where to live when we are married. I wans to live here because the cost of living is cheaper, and in Chicago it is outrageous. I also would not mind living there because his parents will be there for our kids and mine would not. (i was raised by my grandparents). I want my children to have grandparents around... but is it worth the cost of living in Chicago?

Maybe live in a town right outside of Chicago. It's very important to be around family, I believe anyways. Once we had a son we decided to completely move to another state just because we feel that our son deserves to be around them. I am like you...I was raised by my grandparents and what we have decided has worked out wonderfully! Good luck, hun! I hope everything works out for you!

You don't have to live in the city. Check out the surrounding suberbs or cities. Naperville is a beautiful city and the train takes you to the city when you need to be there.
