yeah, yahoo has a bunch of unstated rules. i don't know what the hell is wrong with the yahoo police. they like to give out violations for no reason. you could appeal it but i doubt that they will respond to your complaint. they have ignored all of my complaints. btw, there was nothing wrong with you question. you deserve a star for that...enjoy!

I'm not so sure appealing it will get you anywhere, I tried appealing one I asked about Salman Rushdie and I got an e-mail telling me that YA reserve the right to edit or censor ANYTHING THEY DISSAGREE WITH without giving a reason, but I'd still do it.

What who ever gave u that violation is crazy stupid and sould know that the person that their giving a violation to is a good person and wouldn't do any harm!

Yahooanswers.com sucks, they given me like 4 violations in the last day and i haven't done anything

It was probably the points/star part..I had someone get ticked over my comments about the last prom and nailed me for some minor rule infraction....prom time brings out the chaperons..

Welcome to my world. I've asked for clarification twice now and I just keep getting ignored. I cannot control idiots who report me for sport, but someone in charge of the violation department needs to get some common sense.
