A shallow person is somebody who lacks intellectual depth. Shallow just means "not much" it is a metaphorical term to describe somebody who does not have much about themselves. These people may prejudge somebody by how they look, they care about popularity, they care way too much about what people think, and they just mainly talk about gossip and their daily lives. They are opposite of a deep person.
