I think its a big priority. If a person breaks into your house and refuses to leave. Even worse, you have no legal recourse to force them to do so. This person agrees to do some odd jobs around your home that you do not really wish to do. However, you are required to provide this person with basic necessities such as food and health care. Additionally, you are required to learn their language so that you can communicate with them, because they refuse to English. We would never stand for this in our own homes, but this is happening on a daily basis in our great country.

Well, its really the ONLY real problem we have to cofus on

There is no 9/11 coverup, stop being paranoid
Who cares if congressmen retire with good benefits. Are you jealous?
Politicians are THERE to screw the working citizens, didnt you pay attention in Social Studies?

Hell, why do we focus on Paris Hilton instead of the war? Because the war is old news everyone already knows.

I'm a little confused, first you say the immigration issue is bogus but then you say that the politicians are selling the workers out to big corporations, well who do you think is A:) behind the illegal immigration problem and B:) who do you think is benefiting from it?, and is doing everything in it's power to keep it going. Illegal immigration is in no way shape or form a "bogus" issue, it is costing many people their jobs and the jobs they do have are paying less, not to mention the costs to the health care/ education/ social security/ and criminal justice systems, which is considerable and getting worse by the day.

That all depends on which side of the discussion you uphold. Immigration is a TOP priority issue in my eyes as there is a direct correlation between the survival and the demise of the American culture and standards.Freedoms and liberties. Immigrants in a controlled style are always welcome but not rammed down my throat and emptying my pckets.Too much of a good thing is not very good at all. I will gladly help my fellow man when in need but there is a limit as to what is sustainable .

Immigration is probably the top issue for america today. the north american union is being pushed on us and our borders are a major part of the scheme. The NAFTA super highway is being built and the dollar is falling each day by one cent. If economic collapse happens they will tell you that we need to change currency to an "amero" and that globalism is our future. iraq is also a major issue but americans will vote for the lesser of two evils and wars will continue. We're in major trouble! Vote out the scum!

You are very perceptive... Of course it is....

These "illegal" immigrants didn't just show up in the last couple of years.... It is always an issue - since I've been around and I'm pusing 70. The only thing that ever happens is amnesty...that is the way it is handled..always.

And, you left the illegal war in Iraq out of your list the government want's us to forget about in our frenzy to castigate, humiliate and otherwise harass the Mexicans who only hop the borders to work.

The government would prefer that we all stop stop bichin' about the illegals in our country. Isn't ignoring existing law for decades enough of a clue that our government wants the illegals here?

Our immigration problem has a significant effect on education, crime, healthcare, taxation, and of course unemployment, housing, all infrastructure. There is no other issue that encompasses so much. It is far and away the most important issue.

trust me if you could see what is actually going on at the border you wouldn't ask that, murder (bodies dropped over the border) drug running by Mexican military, slave trade, human trafficking, agents being shot at national guard being shot at all on a daily basis. its allot more than just illegals crossing for work. not to mention people on terrorist lists getting across

Yes, it's a real issue, but, yes, it is being used as a giant political stunt at the moment.
