If you have never listened to Switchfoot, then you should give them a try. Everyone that i have introduced to Switchfoot have loved it, and not one have not liked it. They are a good alternative/rock/punk kind of music.

You should listen to Black Sabbath. They're not new but they've influenced 90% of the bands you listen to. I'd also recommend Alice In Chains

go to myspace and look out for a new band ,not sure if their cd is out yet! but they are deepfield out of charleston south carolina,they are awesome!
