How about looking at your health plan's list of providers? For OB/GYNs, it also helps to ask around your area - ask people that you know for referrals.

Also, Kenneth Mitchell. He diagnosed something I had that had been misdiagnosed for many years. Both are great. The group Dr. Mitchell is in has many good doctors, male and female, including Kathy Wallis who volunteers her time at a free clinic I go to. http://www.thewomensgroup.org/
