Yes and they are trying to stop it from being published. I heard he hid a copy in Canada. Let me see if I can find a site.

Browse the site for more info...

And don't expect this movie to leave you feeing good...you will feel sick to your stomach...

Oh and this is hilarious...well Bush is hilarious...I can't believe he said that in front of the public.

FRANKLY....I don't get why (some) AMERICANS ARE OPPOSED TO THIS??? Sheesh...you'd rather have no coverage and die...or be poor and indebted for what is a right in most countries? Come on people....not an impossibility.

Calee....you forgot to add "and the government that lets them get AWAY WITH IT!!!"

Oh and Rick, they make ZILLIONS because the government gives them a patent let's say for about 30 years...no one else can manufacture the drug...so they "recoup" the costs of the studies and to make the drugs...so why would they want to CURE ANYONE...there's no money in that and in the high cost of the drugs...we all know generics (copies) are cheaper...that is why it SHOULD be regulated as Mr. Moore clearly states too, because they more than recoup costs, they become earthly gods from the wealth.

There may be no money in death...but there is money in sickos!! ;~)

kind of both. (I haven't seen it yet, only read about it)
some corruption in healthcare/insurance systems. definately a lack of morals.
there is some mention of lobbyists. I saw a nice show about how some ex-congressmen who fought for bills are now working for private companies that benefited from those bills-lovely!

and about sick people. many of people in the film have health insurance- but their insurance finds loop holes to get out of bills or only pay for the cheapest (not the most efficient) treatment.
moore said many people in the film felt safe because they were insured, but then they had to use that insurance and found out they weren't that protected.

(I'm interested to watch one part and see what the man's situation was. I guess he lost some fingers but couldn't afford to have them all put back on.)

[ as sais above, if anyone likes these kind of documentaries/news stories look up the mental health scams of the '80s. lifetime did a movie about one case where a girl was put away for DUI and a history of violent behavior. they kept her until the insurance stopped paying and let sick people go when the insurance stopped.
there were new disorders added to the DSM and new treatments, which were typically expensive, made for them. all a teenage girl had to do was be sexually active and they had a disorder that required being hospiltaized. all teens had to do was not get along and disagree with their parents and they were sick]

From what I've read, it's about the massive prescription drug industry, the USA healthcare & insurance businesses, and political lobbies in the USA. It exposes how they all manipulate the system to get what they want and make huge profits at our expense by convincing us that we're sick - when we're not. (Adult ADD? Try avoiding coffee and eating better, not taking a pill)

Basically, Drug companies need their products to sell, and when they get approved by the FDA, and covered by insurance, they make $$ Zillions. This is compounded by the fact that Americans think they can just "pop a pill" if something ails them, rather than addressing the root causes.

In other words: Follow the money on prescription drugs. A $10 copay is nothing. It's the 1000% markup on the prescription that is approved by the government, overexposed in TV and magazine advertising, "insured" by companies with guaranteed income from kickbacks, and paid for by you and your employer through super-high insurance rates.

Acclaimed filmmaker Michael Moore sets out to investigate the American healthcare system. Sticking to his tried-and-true one-man approach, Moore sheds light on the complicated medical affairs of individuals and local communities.

As an American this movie was one of the most depressing movies I've seen in awhile. Bowling for Columbine doesn't even hold a candle to the disheartening realizations contained in this film. I walked away with a sick taste in my mouth having been reminded of how disgusting and heartless our bottom line policy making is. How sick it is to be imprisoned by the government through healthcare. How the healthcare system will tear down every other joy in your life until your 80, working 50 hours a week to pay the cost of staying alive, unable to stand against the rich or have the hope left to vote. Thus the propaganda arm of the American Dream prevails. I don't plan to watch this movie again until I obtain citizenship in Britain, France, Cuba… or Ron Paul could get elected president and as a former physician he might actually fix the system.

It's about how the people who are paying for health
care insurance are getting a raw deal from the
insurance & pharmaceutical companies.
In many cases, the insurance companies are dictating
what the doctor can or cannot prescribe for you.
For instance, when making the documentary, one woman
was told her brain tumor wasn't life threatening, but
died before the film was finished.
This isn't about the uninsured, it's about how insurance
companies are more interested in making a profit than
the health of the people who are paying for it.

Don't know, don't care. Michael Moore is associated with it and he has made a mockery of the 9/11 truth movement. He is just a fat piece of crap who has been paid by Bush to make people believe that if you think 9/11 was an inside job you must be just as stupid as Michael Moore.

It's another propaganda 'film' by that fat slob Moore! He's the best reason for NOT having universal health care I can think of. Do YOU want to pay for his medical bills? What's up with him and Gore, are they having a contest to see who is the fattest and stupidest human?

The goal is to support Communism through Socialized Health Care.
And the unbathed guy making the movie is a Sicko.
It will be funny.

(The Welfare People in the US whine about our Health Care System. And yet we Taxpayers are paying for our ourselves & them too.)
We have the best Health Care in the World.

I ve never seen it, but I figure its another vehicle for Moore to bash Bush. That's all he & his liberal democratic friends seem to be able to do. I mean they all thought it was funny when the movie was made about G.W. getting assasinated. Now THATS sick !!!!!
