how can i completely delete all of the files from my mp3 player off of my computer?

Highlight them and then press Shift - Del. ~
Bypasses the recycle bin.

Enter the dos window and type : del *.mp3...
That is, assuming mp3 files use ".mp3" as an extension.

Alternatively, open a window on the folder you have your mp3's in, assuming you have *only* mp3's in that folder, pres +A then press . You will be asked if you want to delete the "X" files. Click "Yes". All files will then be deleted.

You connect the MP3 player to your computer
open Windows Media Player
tab to the connected devices
and edit the play list stored in the device

I'm not sure what you mean.... Can you tell us what player you have, it'll really help.

Do you want to delete them off your player only? To do this you must connect your player, Go to "My Computer" > (Your device) > Find your music > Right click delete.
Or you can open up Windows Media Player, go tot he RIP tab and then select the songs you want out of your player.

I don't think you mean this but, why not just tell you just in case? Then again, this is self explanatory.
To delete them off your computer, you would need to find the folder it is located in. For most people, it's located in their "My Music" folder that's located in their documents. Once you find your music, right click and delete. Or open Windows Media Player, right click delete. Choose the option "delete from computer and library."
