I think if you could provide a service and get paid that would be a good idea. You could post flyers or an ad in the paper saying you do odd jobs for people such as cut grass, shovel snow, or walk dogs (just as long as they aren't too big for you)
If none of those ideas grab your attention maybe you could turn one of your hobbies into making money. I know some people who scrapbook or that are good with arts and crafts. See if people in your neighborhood are going on vacation and when they get back offer to do a scrap book for them documenting their vacation. Get the family to print doubles of their pictures and give the extra set to you. You could buy 20 dollars worth of supplies and charge maybe 50 dollars a book.
If you don't want to be outside and want to make some money on your computer doing surveys you can try www.lightspeedpanel.com Sometimes they have surveys geared specifically for people under the age of 18. If you email gpcdon@yahoo.com I can send you links to two more sites that pay good and I promise they won't send you spam.
I would recommend saving at least 10% you make though in a savings account in case you can't find work for a while you can always tap into your savings.
Hope this helps,
Glen

Try this website. It is the small business association's site. They have a special page just for young people like yourself. You can get ideas and learn about other young entrepreneurs. Think of things you like to do, that other people may not want or like to do. Entrepreneurship is a great idea for pre-teens and teens. Whatever you do, I hope you continue it (after you get the camera). There are many successful young business men/women who started at age 9, 10, 11....

Once you've earned the money, calculate the # of hours you had to work to get this camera. You may discover that it's not worth it at all....And whatever you earn, put some of it in savings. People who make money just to buy - they are always broke.
Best wishes :)

I have a ten-year-old and we pay commissions to her when she finishes chores around the house. For instance, she gets $3 for cleaning her room, $2 for taking out the trash, $1 for clearing the dishes off the table all week.
She also has done pet-sitting for a neighbor. He paid her $2 per day for 25 days. After the end of their trip, she had earned $50! Ask your family and friends for odd jobs and you can earn the money you want!

Well her options are pretty limited if your parents won't let her do anything. Pay her to do your chores, or talk to you parents about her doing more around the house to earn money. Either then that you don't really have anything else she can do.
