This month i have started exercising .. running 1.5 miles about twice a week..
Now my period is late..
Can exercise really delay it?

DEFINITELY. Especially if your body fat percentage is lower than 9%. It can stop you from menstrating alltogether. I applaud your excercise regimine... just don't get too caried away. I was anorexic and it started with simply running. Not to scare you, it is just that so many of us women have a distorted image of ourselves.

Yes, exercise can delay a period. This also often happens to women who are athletes because of the way that they train for their sport.

If you just started exercising.. yes. Starting a new exercise routine could have changed the hormone level in your body causing you not to have it. It also could be the stress the exercise is having on your body. Since you just started your body is not use to the stress you are putting on it.. and stress can cause you not to have your period
