Have you lived in a haunted house?

I lived in a haunted house for a few months. I heard the ghost knocking on the walls and walking up and down the stairs. My dogs could hear it and would wake me up, growling at the ghost. Are ghosts troubled souls or evil spirits? Share your experience and thoughts with me.

haha my house isnt haunted but after my grandfather died such weird things happened for about 2 years and the tv would go on and off at night and the volume would go all the way LOUDDD and my mom would go downstairs to turn it off and when she walked into the living room the tv would go off..
And i also saw my grandfather a few times and my dad saw him down the hallway upstairs outside my room once
but then looked again and he was gone
I could go on and on.. i think they are just troubled spirits but some of them might be evil (if they cause harm to you) I've always found this topic interesting though. I know some people who didn't believe at all intill they moved into a haunted house and it totally changed their mind
Some other things that have happened is about 2 or 3 years ago i got out of the shower and i heard a demonic voice (raspy and it sounded as it was coming up from the grave) call my name and i was SO SCARED.. it just sounded evil so i knew it was bad.. my mom heard it also and thought my brother was playing a prank but he was not in the house. I prayed so much that night and haven't had anything like that happen ever since. I really don't think they are all demonic though. My grandpa said that he would always be watching us so it makes sense. The demonic stuff is just bad tho

Yes I have unfortunately. I think I have actually senn one out of the corner of my eye on several occasions. The last house I lived in, an old lady who went to do laundry in the basement had fallen down the stairs and died at the hospital later that night. A family member found her hours later, unconcious. I never beleived in ghosts until one night when I was cleaning the bathroom, all alone in the house, a decorative bowl of shells on a shelf had fallen off. No big deal, I picked them up and put it back on the shelf. I turned and it was back on the floor again when I turned back. It had made no noise hitting the floor. I put it back and the same thing repeated. I just left them there and didn't go back in the bathroom for the rest of the night. That wasn't the only time though. About 2 days later I when to bed and shut my door after entering my room. I laid down and realized I couldn't sleep, so I got up and just as I was about to touch the door knob it turned. Twice. Immediately after the second, about three sec. after the first turn, I threw the door open: no one there. I sat back in my bed in disbelief. I then fell asleep, with the door open of course. About a week after that my aunt an cousin came over for the night and we watched a movie. I was the only one still awake when the movie ended and all the lights were except for the TV and the dimmer in the kitche, where my new puppy had resided for the night. As the movie credits begin to roll I see a dark figure in my peripheral vision head into the kitchen. The puppy starts to whine and yelp. I freaked and ran into the kitchen where the puppy was backed into a wall. For some reason a sat and watched for a split sec before I grabbed the puppy and ran into my room. To this day I will never know why, but whatever. After this experience I moved and wil always beleive that a ghost is evil. Even if it was a sweet old lady who never did get to finish her laundry.

I live in a so called haunted house now. I think the phenomena that are experienced are nothing more than residual energies left like and imprint on the house after the person has died. For the ghost while often visible, never responds to the living, it is as if we are not there. She is seen making every day movements like washing dishes or sweeping, climbing up and down the stairs. And we've heard her laughing more than once. My cat tries to rub up against her and is always surprised that there is nothing there to rub. I researched the house and the woman lived in the house over 100 years ago, she was the original owner, and lived alone all her life. She died in the house, and it was left to a nephew who made some renovations, which the ghost ignores, she walks thru a new wall all the time. Coming around a corner and having her walk right thru you is a bit disconcerting at times, but it has never worried or bothered me, it is just residual energy.

I honestly don't know what to believe at the minute. I have never lived in a haunted house or even seen a ghost for that matter but have had some pretty weird, creepy experiences.

Booked a holiday home in Ireland and what was supposed to be a relaxing holiday turned into a pretty miserable one. Just the feeling of the place when you walked in was strange, made me and my two friends feel really uncomfortable, like someone was watching us (sounds funny i know).

Didn't see or hear anything but the house itself was creepy. Needless to say, we wont be going back anytime soon.

Yes. The previous owner of the house my family lived in died. Some say she was killed. She didn't do scary things, but sometimes, she'd just be there. I guess doing the things she did when she was alive. I'd walk pass a bedroom and see my mother sitting at the desk. I'd step back to ask her a question and no one was there. My other family members have seen her in different areas of the house: kitchen, living room, looking out the back window, etc. That was the extent of it. Not a scary haunting, but she was there.

I haven't lived in a haunted house that was on a show or anything, but when I was waaaay younger we used to think it was haunted, cuz this room upstairs was ALWAYS freezing, even if the rest of the house was warm, and our dog refused to go in there. he would always stand outside the door barking and growling, but whenever we opened it, he'd start whining and whimpering..

I am not really sure.. you may can talk to a professional about it. the house I live in a boy hung himself in the tree outside. we have not had aby problems yet. although we have only lived here 2 weeks. i think that it is all in how you look at it too. i mean, if you dont let it bother you then they wont bother or hurt you. however, i have watched those stories on tv where they scratch you and all... i personal think that it is nothing. read aloud the bible. the spirits may like that. good luck. No they are demonic spirits.

The Bible says that after death the spirit will return to the one who gave it. God.

God doesn't allow peoples spirits to walk around the earth in confusion and created havoc with the living.

My brother use to dabble with satanic stuff and draw poster pics of grave yards when he was on drugs.

I had heard and experience violent noises from the underworld at my bedroom door. My brother's room was on the other side of the wall.

When I prayed immediately for God to remove whatever it was tring to get to me it came to a complete stop and never returned again.

They roam the earth a seek out those they can trick into pulling there focus off God and on to seeking mysterious ways of contacting the dead. They can imitate loved ones and pets and so on. Very tricky and harmful.

Yes. I lived in a super old house that was actually a duplex. One night I woke up and saw a man standing over my bed staring at me. I started screaming at the top of my lungs and crawled out of my bed onto the floor and drug myself into the hallway screaming. My mom came out and was frantic. I made her check my room for the guy. I was 19. It was the freakiest thing in the entire world. (My sister had the exact same experience in that same room about 2 years before me).

I don't put up with that stuff, I cast them out in the name of Jesus and they go..
If there are a lot of them I invite all my friends and we have an all out prayer meeting and clean the house of any spirits ..
