If you gain weight it will be from retaining water. It also will depend on your metabolism. If you're small you might not gain any weight. You made the right descion on getting the pill and not the depo shot. I gained about 30 lbs. and lost just about all of my sex drive and didn't have a period for 2 years. Sorry to get personal, but just keep that in mind for future reference. If you start to gain weight you might want to consult someone about taking an over the counter dieretic.
Good Luck!

Some people gain about 10 lbs of water weight. I've been on the pill for at least 12 years and haven't gained a pound (from the pill........ but pizza and beer is another story!)

None, this is a myth. The birth control pill regulates you so you might notice your weight is more constant. At top you could say 1-2 lbs. Some people say it makes them hungrier, whatever. I have been on the pill for years I weigh less now than when I began the pill. My mom is an OBGYN and she recently had to quit taking the pill, SHE GAINED 3 LBS! So much for gaining weight on the pill.

just eat healthy and work out and you wont gain nothing. My cousin in the other hand ate a lot while on the pill and gained like 20 pounds in 3 months. ^_^ just take care of yourself

It varies with each person.

I know people who gained 10-20 pounds (no diet/exercise change). I also know people who gained nothing (jealous of them).

So...it varies. It helps if you eat healthy and exercise, but sometimes that doesn't matter.

Don't think about it too much, or it'll become like a self-fulfilling prophecy type thing.
